(PFC) Portsmouth Football Club (Fratton park) Bar
Bar made out of black laminate board with softwood gates on wheels to open and close the BBQ area. I believe it was used as a temporary bar for the FA party event.
Deep Blue Fish and Chip shop counters
Deep blue fish and chip shop counters. I so far have built a counter for Milton, Bedhampton and Purbroke shop. The job was done using white board, Polor white laminate, 12mm ply. The ply facings have now all been tiled and the tops have corian on, all 3 shops are now open. This photo is of the largest counter for bedhampton, the two parts join to make a large counter.
Air Vents
This is an unsual joinery job to recieve as these are quite unique. Built out of Pine with Maranti cills these air vents will sit on the roof of a large building and will be painted once fitted. They are screwed and glued with polyurethane, with one side of each box section louvered. These again went very successfully and the site agent was very impressed with the finished job.
Conservatory
Here is a conservatory I built in June 2008. This was a complicated job however it was completed within the required time and to a good quality standard. The site agent was very pleased with the job and it was fitted without any complications. It was built out of Pine, Maranti, fixed with Polyurethane (weather proof adhesive), screws, and brad nails. When fitted it was to be glazed and the doors hung to finish it off.
Gunwarf Display Cabinets
This is one of my recent jobs, I had to build 2 identical display cabinets along with stands. They were built with white board, white laminate and had oak edging mitred around with mirror stuck to the back and glass sliding doors (not in picture). Also the track with the glass shelves sitting on were wired to fit lights which will shine down on the products once added.
Peter Symonds College 18m Counter
This has been by far my most challenging job, after being at jacobs joinery for over 4 years I finally got to control an entire job of this size. This meant producing the cutting sheets, ensuring stock was avaliable to build the counter, finding the best ways for it to go together, getting the machinists to get out the timber needed, the list goes on. I had to get a few team members to help when coming to the end of the job to ensure it was ready for delivery when it was supposed to be. But the job was of good quality and the customer was happy with it, The counter was oak faced all around with sliding doors and oak worktops.
New Lake Hotel Cardiff
We get a good few large jobs come in to Jacobs, we have done the same sort of hotel furniture for Romanda Hotel before, we have also done places such as downing street, legoland, abramovich's House, moto service stations, etc. Anyway this job required producing 52 wardrobes, dressing tables and headboards both twin and double. I was set the job of the wardrobes which I was happy to do. They all went in sets of 12 having to be completed within the date of delivery. This job went very well, I managed to do it with time to spare. All was produced using oak faced MFC board with oak edgings. When complete I went on to do a batch of the dressing tables which when complete look quite nice.
